We believe that the transition to a regenerative, democratic, and just economic system is urgent, and can be accelerated with better collaboration. We are currently focusing on building a collaboration platform with a host of community tools and services, an interoperability protocol for other collaborative platforms, and a comprehensive sector map. Our core team spans four continents, and brings to the table a wealth of experience in community development, digital collaboration, and sustainability strategy, with skill sets in tech, research, facilitation, and design.
We help people collaborate on projects designed to accelerate the transition to regenerative, democratic, and just economies. We’re working on several components of a new ‘collaborative infrastructure’, designed to make collaboration more accessible and more effective.
Utopia Cornucopia was initiated in March 2020, at an eco-village in Ecuador called Chambalabamba. Since then, we have been building an international team, a vision, a strategy, and a network of allies.
Our core team now spans four continents, and brings to the table a wealth of experience in community development, digital collaboration, and sustainability strategy, with skill sets in tech, research, and design. We are not-for-profit, and currently funded by grants and donations.
We are now working with several partners to deliver on three further projects.
We are working with a range of partners to build a digital ecosystem, centered on a member platform that houses and integrates a range of powerful networking features, including a co-creation tool to initiate new projects. Individuals and organizations are invited to become founding members of this network by heading to the JOIN page.
We are co-designing a protocol for inter-network collaboration, enabling individuals and organizations already aligned to existing platforms to connect across their respective platform boundaries. Focusing on interoperability and decentralized architecture, we aim to create a ‘network of networks, oriented towards building synergies at scale.
We are aggregating, curating, and visualizing data on the tens of thousands of projects and practices which are contributing to a more regenerative, democratic, just economy, to help facilitate their discovery and visibility.

Once you’ve joined, you can share your offers of, and needs for, particular skills, knowledge, and resources with numerous networks simultaneously. Our algorithms can propose matches with other willing collaborators, based on your values, interests, and aims. You’re also able to navigate our databases and maps freely, with an interface that allows you to rapidly build a network of fellow members.
Members also have a say on how the platform is run, contributing to ongoing open consultations and voting on key amendments.
