In Africa we have a saying, It takes a village to raise a child!

In collaboration with The Fundacion Afro-Americana, we kicked off our youth mentorship program. It is such an honor to get to work on such an important project. Giving kids in Afro-Ecuadorian communities an opportunity to thrive is one of our most important missions.

This year, as we kick off our support for these children, we had a successful mentorship program with 13 handpicked youth ambassadors from an Afroecuadorian community in Ecuador. This will be followed by a Christmas party this coming week where we will spend time with 75 children and youth from Afro Ecuadorian communities.

It’s so easy to do something small and make such a big difference.

As part of this initiative, we will be giving each child a Box of Joy ( www.boxesofjoy.foundation). These boxes contain a t-shirt with a motivational message, toiletries, art and stationery supplies, a book, and a personal letter from a sponsor.

Every little helps, and we’re honored to get to do our part in providing children access to opportunities, education, love, and resources they need to succeed.

Give a Box of Joy this season

Christmas is almost here, and it’s time to think about what gifts you’re going to give to your friends and family members. For most families, Christmas isn’t just about receiving presents—it’s also about giving them. We are part of a program called Boxes Of Joy in collaboration with the Fundacion Afroamerica in Guayaquil, Ecuador. This year we will deliver Christmas presents to 75 Afro-Ecuadorian kids who might not otherwise get any.

These boxes contain a t-shirt with a motivational message, toiletries, art and stationery supplies, a book, and a personal message from a sponsor. The cost of each box is just $25.
